Kansas Campaign Finance Laws

Campaign Contribution Guidelines

Kansas law sets contribution limits for State House candidates. These limits apply separately to the primary and general elections.

Individual Contribution Limits:

  • Up to $1,000 per person for the Primary Election

  • Up to $1,000 per person for the General Election

  • A total of $2,000 per person is allowed across both elections combined

Cash Contribution Limits:

  • Cash donations are limited to $200 per person per election

  • Contributions above $200 must be made by check, credit/debit card, or electronic payment

All contributions are reported in accordance with Kansas campaign finance law.

 

Political contributions are not tax deductible.
